My Work
Professional Overview
​I have a wealth of experience from 16 years of teaching in Doncaster, Lincolnshire and North Yorkshire including 9 successful years in Headship. My school was judged by Ofsted to have made ‘outstanding progress since the last inspection’ under my ‘excellent leadership and management’. I also draw on a vast experience at Local Authority level having worked as an adviser/school improvement partner in North Yorkshire and Leeds for 7 years. My last post was Head of the School Improvement Service for 0-11 in Leeds leading a team of advisers and teaching and learning consultants. For the last 6 years I have worked as a freelance independent education consultant and school adviser working in a wide and diverse range of schools and multi academy trusts, on a number of professional development projects.

I am an able and passionate speaker in front of an audience, and have delivered on a number of school improvement issues at conferences and seminars. I have extended this at international level and work with school leaders of the BI Norwegian Business School in Oslo, Stavanger and London.
My contribution in a publication on developing the spiritual and moral school with Professor John West-Burnham.
